What the Loop (the app) does not collect user data, but it allows posting video loops to third party social networks. Most social networks collect user data when visiting them or uploading media to them. Choose your social network wisely.

What the Loop was created by Abe Pazos and Mei-Fang Liau between 2016 and 2018. The idea popped up during a Creative Code Jam event in Berlin. The first two prototypes were written in Processing in one day each. This one, written in openFrameworks, took two years (including coding, designing, thinking, arguing, adding, deleting, remaking, shooting, demoing, animating, learning, testing, etc.)
